"My paintings are bold abstracts created with enormous energy. Though the images appear to be simple, the meaning behind them is oftentimes complex. Strokes may represent people; large circles with wild dashes depict the Light.
Some canvasses are stretched onto crude frames built from found wood and old pallets. Crackle medium is added to the canvas prior to painting to enhance the weathered look, though the work is forever contemporary.
Other canvasses hang from painted rods suspended from the ceiling, casting shadows.
Things found along my path on Miami streets turn into three dimensional forms that interact with the paintings. Some of the sculptures are kinetic mobiles that add another dimension to the work; other sculptures are calming figures, created from varnished tree debris and painted clay. "
